Purchased a album called Drownded EP by Night Owl Committee - On Bandcamp yesterday. Really nice lo-fi beats, down tempo groove electronic and bit jazzy at times.
In my migration away from Spotify I’ve been able to save most of my playlists to YouTube and I have been enjoying plundering the wider breadth of sounds and starting to build up my super massive playlist. Fun stuff.
oh and @KvlT I added DC Talk and Jars of Clay because… I listened to “In The Light” like 5 times today because I was in a MOOD. That song and All Night Long by Lionel Richie were my soundtracks for today. <3
Christian bookstores used to have these hilarious charts that would say something like, “If you like Limp Bizkit… Try POD!” to make it look like listening to secular music was probably OK in moderation, but clearly it was a slippery slope. And it also sold POD CDs.
(I unironically kind of see their point, in hindsight)
Well, IMHO this band would’ve been the shitty version of 311. If you didn’t know it could get any shittier than 311, it can. But I still love all of this terrible garbage
Dude YES! Finally someone who understands that youtube is the way. I just got premium so I can DL podcasts and listen to them off network in the car, but it also means no adds on my personal music playlists.
Nice thing about YT compared to spotify is if you can name something, you can almost certainly find it on youtube (whether it will eventually get copyright claimed is another question). Compared to Spotify you have so much more choice. For Jazz it’s a total gamechanger, and if you listen to world music with a focus outside the US for any reason it’s a totally different league.
