I usually have to go the other way. I write an essay first and then cut ruthlessly until I have something the bare minimum length that says what I want (to say - cut for brevity).

Yeah I also have to say, the research papers I have written on the undergrad level were cut till they no longer said anything other than the exact information I wanted to impart. I had tough professors. They wouldn’t let me bullshit to reach required page length.* Henceforth and nevertheless, IDK @bfk we went to different schools

*Also, in academia, we don’t measure in words, you communist – we measure in how long our works cited is

(I only did undergrad, skipped grad school. long story.)

Talking about the high school essays.

Also undergrad…i used to know ppl that straight up paid for their research papers.

Did undergrad physics…but the professor had their own science which was a lot different than what i was taught…also he made us buy his own physics textbook that he wrote…thinking back it was very sus…

Switched majors because i didnt know what i would do with a physics degree other than be an inventor like tony stark and make a living off of patents…

Also getting a phd in physics was too expensive i couldnt afford it…if i didnt switch majors…id probably be in a lot of debt and would be looking for a job.

I decided the better route was to try to get work experience and make some reasonable amount of money.

Also used to do some contracting odd jobs with a friend of mine before he moved. Along with my current gig.

My current job is just making sure that the office has office supplies…and keeping track of everything in accordance to the budget im given…

Its not prestiguous or exciting…but you cant put a price on a peice of mind also it pays enough to live off of.

Lol.

Dude I have mad respect for office managers. Good ones make it so that I don’t have to think about anything except my job, like everything else I need is just there and happens without me having to think about it. I get glimpses of how much work goes into that because I sit near our office manager when I’m in the office and she is on top of every little thing that is happening.

Lol…the way i do things…i try to create downtime for everyone by making sure all the work for the day gets done early…so that way everyone gets 3 hour lunch breaks and gets to hang out for the rest of the day till the work day is over.

Also i dont arbitrarily bark orders, i work alongside in the trenches…even though its not part of my core responsibilities…ill occasionally help the janitor swing a mop or help someone else by troubleshooting a computer problem…or do other stuff like assist people

But i try to balance between helping out…and not getting tricked into doing somebody elses job for them…if you know what i mean…

Also there will always be ambitious bs artists looking to start trouble…of which i dont tolerate…i just call those types out on their stupidity.

I sort of wondered what life through your eyes looked like as well…

:slightly_smiling_face:

No homo.
Just semi intellectual curiousity.

Also before my current gig…worked at a supermarket, then did a little bit of IT, after IT, i was a home health aide…

The home health aide was way to much stress…had no work life balance because there was an overlap and not enough time…then got my current gig…

Current gig it took me while to get to a place where i want to be…was stressful in the beginning but things changed for the better…so…it sort of worked out.

Continuum transfunctioner…lmao

Huh
Multiplying a ramp wave with a sine wave creates a saw wave of varying
saw-y-ness depending on the slope of the ramp wave.
But a saw wave is just far too many sine waves.

What happened to the golden days of ambient DnB where it was ACTUALLY ambient DnB?
I do really like some of the newer stuff, but it’s not DnB… Where did my child go? Where’s all of the music I sought to create as a kid :loudly_crying_face:

Politics has become an exercise like psychological masturbation…

Hence why everyone…doesnt stfu about it.

I can say stuff too and lets see who wins the dick measuring contest…

I get a lot of political crap on ig suggested to me its mostly just ppl expressing their truthiness.

Bro I can get screenshots…

Just venting.

Also saying stuff through the veil of anonymity is cowardice.

COOL! It would seem I’m fascinated by architecture, a few niche art styles, moviemaking, and lowkey fashion.

Youtube on the other hand, is utterly convinced I want to meet the ukrainian/colombian/vietnamese woman of my dreams and settle down. And yes it is exactly those three and it is that specific.

Here, at least.

Made the executive decision today to dedicate the next handful of tracks I make to learning Ableton. I must say, I don’t even know all of the shortcuts and I already love how nice it is to use

In other news, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry about how stupid the Australian government is :performing_arts:
