Was playing Minecraft a ton over the break, sometimes alone, but most of the time with friends. I have to say, old Minecraft will always have a special place in my heart, but god damn the newer updates are so much fun! And they look amazing with shaders, too.
Playing Journey To Silius by Sunsoft on an NES emulator (FCEUX). Great music, crazy hard like most Sunsoft games of that era. Some sound effect reuse from Blaster Master (probably my favorite NES game of all time), but that’s ok ‘cause this is really good so far.
I stayed up until 3 in the morning trying to beat this fucking guy in VR. I did it once before, but I must have been in a state or something. I could get to the last phase, but I had to throw in the towel.
My dreams were very weird, and I woke up way later than expected lol.
I have the day off due to a Bday party I had planned for that got cancelled (no work, no worries from me!), and decided to play a “chill” two hour PSVR2 game called Before your Eyes that is only controllable with eye tracking and eye blinks. If you happen to have a PSVR2, I highly recommend it. You can’t set the play area, which is a little weird, but after I played it, I can see why they chose to do it that way.
No spoilers, but the game totally caught me off guard. I thought it was a bit sentimental at first, but I ended up crying through the second half of the game (I can be sentimental at times). Probably the only time I’m ever gonna cry playing a video game, so I thought it was a cool experience. I guess it works with a web cam on steam, but I can’t imagine that being at all fun. Do recomend:
Zelda: Wind Waker HD via emulation with a graphics pack (high rez etc). Haven’t played this game in 20 years. Got it up an running on a whim this morning and have been enjoying it.
I lost my Switch in transit somewhere between Rovaniemi, Finland and DFW, Texas (or it was stolen) sucks. but, guess that means i gotta get the Switch 2
Bummer, but good timing because they’re going to raise the price on it in a few months. I’m on the fence because there’s not really anything I want to play right now on there (though I know there will be at some point). I want to wait for an OLED model like the original switch, but god only knows how expensive that will be when they finally release it.
Every two years I get the itch to play Hyper Light Drifter, so I started a new game yesterday. In my top 3 along with Final Fantasy 4 and Gravity Rush 2.
And here I am freaking out that I am closing on 300 hours of Fallout 4 where I’ve mostly been building settlements and doing side quests. I’m at level 51 and have done 5 story missions only, so I’m likely to end up with a lot more hours.
I just started a quick run in Fallout New Vegas to take a break from Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. I’m hoping that by the time I finish these and Hyper Light Drifter, Hades 2 will be starting to get discounted.
If not I have a PS3 plugged in to play Fallout right now, and I have a ton of other stuff for that I remember fondly. Singularity. Pure. Killzone (I actually tried that one already and literally couldn’t play it because my controller was too fucked up, so not that one). Littlebigplanet tho.
I also apparently picked up the Oblivion remaster at some point and never installed it. Too many RPGs right now. At this rate the Witcher DLC will be out before I finish all these.
