Gamers what games are you playing? :)

We’ve had a crazy heatwave over the weekend, and luckily I fell in love with a game called Eastward. I really like it so far after about nine hours. A little slow, but I knew that going in. It’s the best thing I’ve played in a damn while.

I finished Eastward tonight. It’s good, and it has a really nice soundtrack. One of the better games I’ve played lately. My total playtime was around 23 hours. I got it on sale for 12 bucks, but I would have felt satisfied at full price. A solid game.

Finishing the 2021 Guardians of the Galaxy game atm. I really like the story and the alien environments, gameplay also has some nice aspects, but the bugs are crazy… The last newish game I played was the first part of the Final Fantasy Remake and I was suprised that I encountered 1 game-breaking bug… but in this one, I got like 10-15 completely different kinds of bugs that made me reload the previous checkpoint. Everything from getting stuck in the environment to various necessary custcenes not triggering and parts of the character controls becoming non-responsive. And it’s already 3 years old, so I guess non of these will ever get fixed. It’s a really great experience, I feel a lot better about the bugs in the projects I’m working on

Haha, it’s funny I played that one like 2 years ago and I don’t remember having issues at all. Very fun game too! I was really surprised by how well the characters’ stories were told, made me appreciate the movies more too.

Strange, it was really full of bugs for me… I just read a bit on it on reddit, seems like experiences were pretty mixed on both PC and consoles in terms of glitches. Some people report a lot, others none at all, others a few. Some people write it might be related to some settings, but no idea…

But yeah, the storytelling is really nice in any case!

I’ve been wasting…
I mean,
spending my time playing Warframe recently.
I really like grindy games and the best thing is - it’s free.
For an eleven year old game it looks pretty good, and it has absolutely amazing lore.
Gauss prime my beloved

I spent a few thousand hours with that game. have a MR28 account with tons of maxed out stuff.

Was a complete enjoyable waste of time during the pandemic. Killer game

I rarely game these days between art projects and two bands, but, I did start playing some Hardcore Diablo 2 Resurrected again. Good stuff. Lost jobs to this game historically, basically spent my entire middle-high school and college years slacking off any IRL responsibilities to play it.

Ill-nostalgia, I’d say. Good times, weird to be in a productive accomplished phase in my adult life and playing this on console kicking back on the couch casually. its still the GOAT

GIVE ME YOUR STUFF /J
Yeah, I have less than 100 hours, but I got my Speedy Boi and I’m actually hyped to finish the main storyline. The new koumei content slaps, if I didn’t like Gauss so much then I’d keep using her. (The music is absolutely banger too…)

Hell yeah, ride that train as long as you can. Game will always have a special place in my heart even though it is an absolute grinder.

I got heavily into mod trading for a while and have been through 100k+ in platinum in and out for things. Always mained Wisp, and I heard there’s a Wisp prime now finally. Also a big fan of Titania prime, and Gauss ofc too.

Hmm… might have to hop on there again sometime, I miss that game often.

I never thought I’d go back to Pokemon Blue after like 25 years, but playing it on an Anbernic feels so goddamn nostalgic just because of the GBC form factor.

Also, having a fast-forward button makes the grind a little more rewarding

I think about the old pokemon games a lot… I feel like Nintendo is missing out by not having those on the switch emulators… or hell, even paid in the store.

I’d buy RBYSG in a heart beat in a “shut up and take my money” sort of way.

Man, THPS 3+4 kind of sucks.

I play both on GC all the time so I might be a bit biased, but killing off the open-world nature of 4 and inserting random competition levels just doesn’t work out all that well. They should’ve just lumped 1+2+3+4 into a game called “Tony Hawk’s Classic Mode” and continued to add new level packs so that we could at least have an all-encompassing version of the games with multiplayer, custom parks and whatever else they wanted to add.

Honestly it feels like they just copied a whole formula over and fucked over 4 for no reason, with goals that sort of mimic but don’t scratch the itch of the original. So close, yet so far…

I was afraid it’d feel that way. I originally played only 1 and 4, and got 3 later. So I was worried when I heard they made 4 play like the first 3 because those levels are way, way bigger than the other games and I thought that wouldn’t work.

Played Doom Eternal for about 4 days, and then uninstalled it. Story is… Okay… But I just didn’t really enjoy it.
Next games to try are Avowed and Skyrim.

Skyrim isn’t a game, it’s a way of life dude. I think I have over 2000 hours clocked in that one. Play it vanilla first, but know that you have to try it modded before you write it off.

My curator page has been rewarding me with tons of Zachlike-style games and I’m genuinely considering going a bit nuts on them so I can maybe recommend and review them like I’m supposed to.

The only thing that sucks is developing some kind of RSI / carpal tunnel symptoms. I’ve switched to a standalone touchpad (I’ve been doing everything on that, believe it or not) to find a more neutral position but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to use a regular mouse without flaring it up again.

Controllers seem fine, but most of the shit I want to play and review is mouse-based. I guess that’s probably at least one of the factors that led to this in the first place, lol

Tried a bunch of Prime Gaming’s latest giveaways. Besiege is pretty cool, glad I got that one. Dungeons of the Endless looks great, love the visuals, but gameplay-wise it didn’t really click with me. Marvel’s Midnight Suns - yuck.

Epic’s giving away Civ 6 and I guess it’s one that y’all oughta grab, the way I heard it’s probably the best one in the series, or at least waaay better than Civ 7. Snagged it, cuz it’s free, ya know

Not sure if I’ll be playing it, but it’s good to have it in my collection haha

I think Civ 7 has done some interesting things to try and mix up and improve on Civ 6. The problem is Civ 6 came out over 10 years ago, so the devs have had time to perfect it with minor patches here an there. Civ 7 has a bit more micromanagement than I would like, but it fixes some other pain points of Civ 6 for me - namely how long the end game can drag on. I think Civ 7 will be amazing too, but it’s going to be a bit until the devs can work in the feedback they’re getting now. I played both at launch, and people are forgetting that Civ6 had a rough start too and everyone thought Civ5 was going to be the best forever. This too shall pass.

Sounds legit. Anyway, the only Civ I care about is Civ 2, haha

And I haven’t played that one in probably two decades. Wish someone released it on, I dunno, GOG or even Steam.
