Did some cleaning.
The other day, I was sitting near somebody I didn’t know at all, and to me they seemed visibly annoyed at something. I was proven correct when they proceeded to snap and go off at their phone for not recognizing them through face ID.
I - being the emotionally sensitive panzy I am - turned to them and told them why they shouldn’t get angry, because angry people absolutely kill me with my anxiety. I was surprised when they actually listened to me and calmed down. Maybe it was the random socialization shock that made them listen. The conversation ended with smiles and they left.
Now, the next day, I was feeling down with the usual afternoon depression, and that same person noticed me. They probably didn’t need to, and they might have even had something to do, but they decided to take a few minutes to literally just sit and talk to me. I pretty much forgot about the conversation until I went to bed.
It’s not much, just a little story, but remembering that stuff like that does happen gives me a little bit of hope for the world.

Why because i was too caught up in negative thought processes to figure out a solution.
It didnt solve the problem exactly…
but it did help point me in the right direction so that i can figure out a solution on my own.

My closest friend is back in town after a four-week vacation in California. It felt like eight weeks lol.
Switched to better coverage on my house and car insurance with a local broker after State Farm raised the shit out of everything. Saved me a thousand bucks a year.
Picked up the UK Arrow box set of the Chucky movies on 4K for cheap (box art is crap, but it has better encoding than the US release) and got the Scream Factory US disc of the first movie to replace the standard bluray that comes with the set.
It looks fucking great.

Life is what I owe my happiness to today. You never know when you’re going to be taken from it to the great cosmic rave in the sky.
I’ve lost four friends in the past week, except one of them was in June but I didn’t know till last Tuesday. I’m doing ok but it’s very clear to me how precious this experience is, because we don’t really know what is after. The unknowing is what makes me cherish this here even more, despite the occasional periods it is a waking nightmare. It is the points of beauty, love, and joy that cause me to take a step back, breathe deeply, and take notice of it. I think it’s important to stop whatever I’m doing and thinking to meditate on that feeling.

my friend’s umbrella broke when they opened it and the spring slapped another friend in the face like a giant dildo. Would’ve hurt, but it was the funniest thing ever to watch
