Got the callouses back…just need the finger strength and the coordination. Also may have fixed my form i practiced for 1 1/2 hours and no back pain.

Did some research because I need some new strings and to derust my pickups and it turns out my Gibson Les Paul Custom 20th Anniversary Alpine White (mouthful) is worth like 7-9 grand (AUD)
So I don’t think I’m going to sell that lmfao

Okay okay, it’s not a 20th anniversary, I did some research.
It is however, completely fucking unidentifiable online, and may be worth a fortune. It looks like a normal les paul, but it’s cream and says “Les Paul Custom” on the head rather than “Gibson”
Strange strange guitar…
As a multiple expensive synth owner, my recommendation if you want to maintain happiness is do not value your gear on the open market as long as you want to stay happy.
I had to value my synth collection for some personal finance business and it has made me think thoughts. Not bad, but they pulled me out of the moment and I’m thinking stupid things that aren’t about making music with my synths - when they’re sitting here perfectly good and ready for me to use them to make some damn music.
But seriously I could flip my Moog One and for like $1k more than I sell it for I could upgrade from the 8 voice to the 16 voice…
See? Don’t let that be you.

Ah, but the thing is I want to own a sunburst stratocaster, and if I can sell my les paul for enough I can buy said stratocaster

I have new strings and a somewhat shinier guitar now
In the future I’ll soak all the bits in vinegar and baking soda to get rid of the rest of the oxide.

My dudes, just drop C and jam. You don’t need to know anything; it just works™. Punk, metal, hardcore, butt rock, you name it. Even grunge would be fine, if you like it a little darker.
Any time someone asks, “Wait, you don’t know theory? How do you play guitar like that?”, my answer is the same – play like a bastardized mongoloid and only the pros will know the difference. It’s terrific
