Peoples grandiose sense of pride often prevents them from taking accountability for their own actions.
Example someone acts like a jerkoff, people dont respect said jerkoff, jerkoff lashes out at people because they dont respect them.

I just played The Last Post and Reveille at my school for ANZAC day, and I messed up a little bit because, y’know - performing in front of hundreds of people - and some had the audacity to laugh at me?
(I don’t know how familiar you guys are with Trumpet/Bugle embouchure, but The Last Post is really tricky to play because of the jumps between notes and high notes etc. etc.)
I mean, it’s a fucking commemoration service for the soldiers that DIED protecting our country, and I’m trying to honour the traditional respect that our country has had for decades and you want to laugh at the cadet bugler?
