Iām probably not going to play this as a game, but I super dig the artstyle of the new Marathon. Watch the trailer muted if you have to, but the flat textures with bright colors is a style I have been digging for years. Add in some of the biomorphic designs like the part with the caterpillars and this is just sick.

This type of shit just reminds me of the garden variety / bumper sticker Christians who claim to want to spread compassion, but end up just shitting on everyone who doesnāt share their exact point of view. They can turn a kind gesture or even a potential friendship into something to fume and get offended over.
Obviously, I mean no disrespect to Christians ā even most of them are better than that. Iām just talking about the ones who canāt see their own hypocrisy spewing out of them at all times as they steamroll the fuck over everyone else. I guess itās just part of the weird divide going on right now, but itās definitely gotten out of control.

Yeah, thatās been my biggest issue with social media from the beginning. Even before the recent splintering (2016-present), there just wasnāt anything all that captivating about it, at least for me. It just seemed like 'evening news: 2.0", but my memory is really hazy from that period for other reasons. Maybe it was cooler than I remember, but I have no idea.
Reddit might be the only site that seemed to change the format because you could shut out all of the horseshit and just focus on people working on projects and asking really good questions, but it seems like the political rot (if thatās not a term, Iām coining it) is seeping through all of the cracks.
Forums are still pretty decent most of the time, but everyoneās abandoning them

Some other stuff ive read has an implied social darwinian overtone but the terms equality, equity, cisgender, systemic oppression,ā¦are mixed in with this kind of ideologyā¦

There is a practical middle groundā¦but everyone has to come to an agreement on what works for mostly everyone.
But this doesnt occur because of the human need for power and influence over others.
Also elites aka the new aristocratic class born out of unchecked political crony capitalismā¦has kind of corrupted equal rights by using causes to enact a spoils system and for personal political gain.
Instead of equally distributing an apple pieā¦the elites take their 85 percent portionā¦while the common folk fight over the 15 percent portionā¦
Im not a socialistā¦but the playing field does need to be reset so that people can achieve socio economic mobilityā¦and have more opportunity.
But additionally people have to stop making excuses for themselves and prioritize. They gotta put in the work so that they can reach their goals.
Tldr social darwinism is present in both left and right political alignmentsā¦its not the problem, it is a symptom of the problem of human nature within the context of human societyā¦and this was philosophically discussed in europe from 1500 to 1850ā¦soā¦

Seems like people who never adequately adjusted to high school or even life after high school.
Also with consumerism and commercialism replacing shared values and broken homes were parents arent parenting in addition to teachers that dont teachā¦in a vacuum better sense ethically speaking may or may not prevail, its a 50/50 shot.
