I think it’s basically everything I thought an OG 404 was missing. Aside from just me, Roland seems to have really listened to everything people have been saying for years about the older 404s. I think my favorite thing is that it now has pads instead of buttons. I hated finger drumming on a SP-404sx when I tried one.

I guess the original fucking date of tomorrow stands, because people are just too stupid to knock. The nimrod didn’t even leave the damned paper that shows the attempt was made. Nothing.
Edit …i just tried the bell and it did not f’ing ring for several presses. It’s a Wyze Chime that connects wirelessly -_- I hate it.
It was the Soviet Space Bass that against all odds made it out of Ukraine, and they were going to deliver it a day early.

Sigh. Oh well. I’m just pissed now, vs shaking in anger lol. I guess I can go into the garage now and continue working on my project that I put off all fucking day so I would be sure to hear the doorbell or the door…

I did also get a pleasant surprise yesterday, at least. Apparently I have a firebomb on my wrist lol, so Fitbit is doing a safety recall on the Ionic line and are refunding me $300 (I didn’t even pay that for mine lol, I think I got it on sale) and then gave me 40% off another watch. So they are basically paying me $100 to get a new watch lol. I thought about just pocketing the $300…

I left a note for the delivery person to please knock. I discovered that sometimes, the piece of shit Wyze Chime loses connection to the f’ing Doorbell camera module thing -_- I tried to ring it and nothing. I held the button a few seconds and that re-connected it. Why, oh why, is that even a gd problem to deal with? lol. It should alert people it’s not connected or, god-forbid, reconnect on its own. But it’s not mine to replace. I am starting to have a distaste for Wyze as a company, though. Their stuff is cheap and I had a bulb go defective on me, too (the RGB module stopped working unless you thump/thwack it; they sent me a four pack of replacements… well now I have spares XD)
Did she glue the top wood to the pressboard, too? Did the top wood slide around while clamping it all down? What does yellow pine or fir, Titebond, and epoxy resin sound like as a tonewood? 
(I’m trying to make a bass guitar. The visible board is a sheet of plywood I’m using to spread the compression forces out while gluing top wood to the ‘body blank’ I previously made out of 2x4s)

It wasn’t even because of the supply issue, trash80 the guy who makes them made the headless version available before the hardware was available, cool guy indeed, I had latency problems using the headless version because I had an old Mac OS. All you need for the headless version is a Teensy 4.1 which costs approx £26.
Love my M8, at last truly a machine that is portable.

Unrelatedly, but you came up in the UAD forums while I was troubleshooting my system.
I had some temporary plugin auth issues and was going down the error codes rabbit hole.
If that’s me your referring to I’ve not been on the UAD forum for years however I had all sorts of issues in the past like the UAD-1a card I bought never ever worked in my Mac Pro and my UAD-2 quad card that just stopped working for no reason, it was only then did I realise what a fragile system I had depending on those cards to make music.
First few hours with an Sp-404 and it’s a completely different paradigm than the Mpc. Not better or worse, I can see them working well together and bouncing stuff off each other, which could be the reason to bring the Force out of storage…

Not sure what the mods are but the beast seems to be made for slow, sludgy stoner stuff
I seem to remember that from when it was announced or hit the shops. I should have a look at the manual to see what that’s about.
