To be fair, Japan is going through the same shit. It’s so strange being able to speak two languages. I told her that she’s still hot, and she said “Yeah…whatever.” She’s not doing jack shit and has a bit of money left. None of my friends in Japan are doing jack shit.
This town looks like a police state today. Everybody is wearing some sort of getup. It gets worse day by day. My best friend won’t call me on the phone and is “staying busy” whatever the hell that means. I live alone, and this is starting to suck.
I’d gladly pay a woman to beat the crap out of me, but there’s no scene here, and I don’t have the money. I just want my computer back so I can get back to art and shit.

The keyboard on the family laptop seems to be broken since a few days and I can only say that we have a tiny suspect… well at least he had some fun brekaing it I guess ^^
Also, teething sucks… multiple teeth growing at the same time with fever must be really hard… called emergency hotlines and doctors a few times since yesterday because of some very high temperature measurements with an infrared thermometer, but no signs of infection or anything just very red cheeks, so we are pretty sure that it is the teething…

Called my best friend in Japan and we spent a good 40 minutes cracking each other up. Old student of mine. Her first day of highschool, and first day of class, she spent drawing a picture instead of listening to me, and from then and there we somehow made some crazy bond.
She’s been on some of my music releases, for the old timer’s around here.

I’ve been fighting some obviously dumb urges pretty well. Lots of free lessons out there right now. So I have the 90-day Ableton demo and I’m trying to work in that. It’s not creative either, at the level I’m on it’s like “how do I sidechain?”, so it’s not draining in the same way that music usually is. Nikon made some of their video photography lessons free, so I spent my free time on those for a few days. I think skillshare, coursera, Edx, etcetera are almost all running free trials of some kind right now, and some of them can give legit certificates of completion that look good on a resume.
I’m also designing myself a rack for rackmount gear, and I intend to build it myself too. So dusting off some of the old geometry skills to draw that all in scale and figure out dimensions for cuts and such is mentally stimulating in a way that accounting (my day job) isn’t.
Speaking of spilling beers and spending money, I’m thinking very seriously about grabbing one of these today

@GomesR my dad wants one of those so bad…we make 3-4 batches of beer and hard cider like every other fall. He has always wanted to do one of our favorite recipes in a keg and have it chilled on tap.

I have no idea! We have only ever bottled beer. We usually only do 24/oz Tallboys for cider, ales and lagers. Stouts we do in pint bottles.

My Dad used to have a home brewing kit he used to make beer when I was a kid. Never brewed anything myself. Hard cider sounds tasty tho.

I’ve been really bad about computer keyboards and beverages nearby historically. I had a laptop that I killed the keyboard spilling a double shot of whiskey on, then I happened to mention it to Dell when I was calling in a warranty, and it plagued me on any warranty claims for like a year or so. Now I know, you never say how it happened… just that is broken. Lol
