Stella the old rescued Staffy.
Abandoned by some b*****d breeder shortly after Christmas a few years ago. Been our loyal companion ever since.

That’s Fran. She’s sweet, but a bit too much for most people (and dogs). I found her wandering the neighborhood without a leash, and thankfully my neighbor let me keep her. We’ve been greatest and best buds ever since
That’s Nelly. She’s an angel disguised as a dog; a true ascended being
That’s Brody. He was adopted with that name, which weirdly passes as a nickname for me as well. That’s proof that he was meant to be my son.
That’s Mia. She’s a reincarnated babushka. Any time she smells food cooking, she has to hover over you because she lives to eat
That’s Gus. He’s absolutely hilarious. A true ‘rescue’, my wife found him homeless and out in the rain. He now lives his best life ever. His words
That’s Tuss. She’s 10 now, and a true treasure. She’s probably the sassiest one
(You know you have too many dogs when you can’t upload them all in one post)
There’s also this guy, who goes by both Jax and Rusty. He has both of his ears, my phone just doesn’t know how to clip images as well as it pretends
You have 6 dogs? Damn, poor kitty must feel lonely in there!
The way the dogs are so closely cropped onto a plain white background, these look like a sketchier version of the dogs of Amazon. Like the dogs of Temu or something.
I dig it.
Weirdly they were all transparent PNGs like the cat, but I think if you drag and drop them willy-nilly into the browser like I did, the forum converts everything to JPEG automatically.
You’d think I would have known by now by the colossal amount of images I offload here ![]()
we should make a comic book out of your pets
My friend’s ol’ doggo is nearing his time, so I wanted to get another picture of us together. I’ve known him since he was just a young pup!
And a pic from back in his wilder days:
This is Holly, but she was originally called tinsel. She’s a scab when it comes to anything slightly meat flavoured, but we still love her. She’s also blind in one eye, but we still love her.
The true shitposter
She has also earned the nickname “Jaws!” for play-biting people and dogs who are bigger than her
Had to have my 14 year-old rescued staffy, “Stella” put to sleep last night after a seizure. Absolutely gutted.
.
I’m sorry dude. I know it’s not easy, but you made the right choice.
Very sorry to hear. It’s brutal when they leave us, no matter how it happens. Over time, the pain will lessen, knowing that you gave her a good life, and remembering the times you had.
A few months after my dad passed, I had to put my dog down of 14 years as well. Shit is so rough. That’s the hard thing about being a pet owner, is knowing you’ll likely outlive them
. Sorry to hear about your pup
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It really helps.
C.
Ahhh so sorry my friend. my heart goes out to you as you grieve. Losing people is difficult, but man, burying a pet is on another level. Theyre such an extension of and our personalities for way too short of a time. Watching them suffer is astronomically worse. When my cat Paco died at only 3 years old — due to a rare & sudden diagnosis of adult feline diabetes — I think it only took two weeks before we were in the SPCA looking at kittens “just to look.” That’s when I found Chester and Sagan. Animals seriously choose you as much as you choose them. Anyway, where I’m going with all this is that visiting animals at the shelter helped us through mourning Paco. We didn’t expect to get a pair of siblings but we are blessed… they are the sweetest kindest little clumps of fur that we could ever ask for. Anyway, not trying to ramble. One day at a time ![]()
