hello ^^ i’m human

im a kid, and fairly new to electronic music as a whole. so far, my favorite artists are knifehandchop and bomb 20—mostly because i really like heavy sampling. im unfamiliar with what makes certain things certain genres, so excuse any mistakes of that sort lol

i just got an ipod, and im looking for anything good to dl

Are you looking for more stuff in the vein of breakcore or to broaden your horizons?

If the former I can’t help you (maybe @bfk can point you in the right direction).

If the latter, try out Larry Heard. He does deep house with a heavy jazz influence. If you like what you hear there you can go into other electronic places or go towards jazz.

Hi! There’s a lot of discussion always as to what constitutes ‘breakcore’ and tbh it’s a pretty stale discussion. But if fast broken punky electronics is your jam, here’s a few you might like:

Kid606, Xanopticon, DJ Scud, Duran Duran Duran, Ladyscraper, FFF, Rotator, Dev/Null, Stazma the Junglechrist, Droon, Doormouse, Venetian Snares of course, all the old Digital Hardcore recs stuff, and a million obscure bedroom producers including yours truly :joy::alien_monster:
