Free Samples & Other Music-Related Assets

TL;DR: I’m giving away a bunch of sample packs. Jump to redeem below ---->

For the past few years I’ve been pouring way too much time and effort into my sample pack bandcamp page (Analog Samples), and today I hit a huge milestone so bandcamp juiced me up with 1,000 free credits to give away. Basically, these album codes can stick to your account for life if you’re logged in and claim one, so even if you have no intention of using packs at the moment, you can always stash them and check them out later.

To redeem: Go to Analog Samples and punch in the code.
You don’t need a bandcamp fan page to redeem these, but IMO it’s cooler because you can’t lose them afterward.

Merry CHRISTmas, motherfuckers! Apparently it’s been over 2 years (1-2 ragequits ago, for reference) since I updated this, so I think some new packs are in order. I’ve probably made 20 or so since then, so grab a code if any of these look good to you!

These tend to get devoured pretty quickly somehow, so if you missed something that you want later on there’s a good chance I have another code lying around. Don’t thank me, thank santa

They’ve also shortened the URL, it’s just bandcamp.com/yum now (although most of us knew this years ago)

I should also mention that if you make any cool tracks with these, you can spam me with them or post them here. I love hearing what people do with them, especially if it’s you guys.

Really cool that you give so many free codes to the community!

Maybe an idea for future packs: I don’t often use samples for music at the moment, but what I always look for in game dev context is foley stuff, especially animal recordings since my attempts to records animals were not very successful - in the rare occasions when the animals were making interesting sounds, my baby boy started laughing, wowing or talking… But at least it was fun for him ^^

I think I have two of those, but they’re definitely ‘indoors’ foley packs. I’d actually love to do more field work like that, but my OTG setup is pretty budget. Awesome suggestion, though! Maybe in the future I’ll be able to do some really exotic things

That would be awesome! Gonna check out some of your packs soon! Also, if some coupons still work I’m gonna download some for a friend who just started making music again…

Everything’s free on my other site for the whole weekend. Don’t tell anyone, but judging by the action my page is getting, these are probably going to be free forever. I’m happy to see it getting swarmed because, really, nothing makes me happier than seeing people get inspired.

What is it? It’s a ‘sister’ site to my sample packs page where I create and toss up assets for other artists, developers and designers to use.

Although it’s rooted in the gamedev scene, I’ve got:

  • FL Studio Patcher devices
  • Renoise presets stuffed with entire sample packs in one file
  • Voltage Modular presets & cabinet preset packs (in the triple digits)
  • Sonic Pi presets
  • Filter Forge presets
  • My sample recorder (rip shit from youtube even faster!)
  • Arduino tomfoolery (and a CLI helper tool!)
  • A goddamn VST plugin (I plan on making more, but there’s one at least)
  • Tutorial videos (if you can stand my nasaly voice)
  • A UVI Falcon library
  • Python & Processing image scripts
  • Photo & magazine textures
  • A virtual ouija board
  • Obviously lots more

Anyway, TL;DR: it’s all free and claimable (it sticks to your account when claimed) until Monday, and very likely free forever afterward. Everything’s open source, hackable, buildable and breakable, and ready to be fucked around with. I also keep things updated and continue to care for old projects in an ongoing basis, so if you need something adapted to your project, challenge accepted

Also, everything’s $0 right now on my sample pack site as well.

Wow, such a huge collection! Hope to find the time to dig into it over the weekend! Thanks for giving it to us for free! <3

You’re a legend!

I’m so glad they’re of use to you! Thanks so much for checking them out

Another free week is afoot, something that will very likely be perpetuated considering how much I’m getting swarmed. Bandcamp might end up soft-locking once it hits a certain threshold, but I have lots and lots of keys to giveaway, too. If anyone wants something that’ll stick to your BC account for safekeeping, request and you shall receive!

Honestly I couldn’t be happier knowing that people are getting some heavy use out of this stuff. If any of you guys are behind the insane amount of link-sharing that’s happening right now, I love you.
