Find Sample Packs Here!

So assuming other people post in here, I’m hoping this can be a mass-thread like the Soft-Synth, Hardware threads…

So basically, packs you’ve made, built, found; post them up! Free or cost, doesn’t matter. Just mention it in your post.

I’ll start.

bbb Giant Drums pack - 57 samples total

It’s taken from the cinematic side of The Giant. Might find some neat stuff in it.

This still seems to be up (was my first bigger sample pack, totally free - my later packs on Synthmob are not available right now, but might be back at some point):

You’re giving out jewelry sample packs? Hell yeah

F9 are doing 30% off for new customers. I just picked up their new argon kicks pack that I’ve had my eye on. They have a few free packs and demo partial packs available as well. I actually discovered them when James Wiltshire was doing an interview about running the business on Sonicstate, so I figured I’d give them a try and see how I get on with some fresh material.

I had fun with trial-mode Harmor and some makeshift bitmaps, so that you (hopefully) can have fun making dark alien ambient tunes

Pulled out my GM plugins for some rapid noise iterations. Just a little bit of VM PSP verbs for flavor. Thanks to @makeuswhole for the idea

IME these are pretty good for just tossing into the noise oscillator on a synth when you need that extra texture. Or doing vector synthesis with a bunch of them, creating risers, etc

Not a sample pack per se, but you could sample pretty much any part of this and have a good time.

Actually, I’d be more interested in knowing the process and being able to get these sounds for myself. Not familiar with “spectral compressor” or the signal routing that would be needed to do this safely since this is like 100-200db of gain.

Probably just a shitload of upward and downward compression. Yank them up and stuff them down. Xfer makes their own little OTT copycat for free, too

Honestly, you could do better with Harmor any day of the week, even though it’s fascinating due to the unintentional nature of it all. Add a little SpecOps and you’ve got the whole gamut of frequencies to tear apart

Aw yeah, I think I got it to work.

Anyone who uses this, be careful. Each of these instances are loaded with 10 instances of OTT and it makes sound even when you’re not sending FX artifacts through them. Also uploading the dependency patcher file ‘otter’ just in case it’s needed (you can add more or less of these, depending on how much tinnitus you want

I could’ve put a safety macro on them but that’s like grabbing a fire extinguisher when you’re planning on playing with fire :fire:

We could also phase-cancel the sound OTT makes when it lowercases the fuck out of your DAW, but that’ll be in patch 2.0

All the files are in there just in case you want to stack them differently
