if i can’t come up with a fitting name because it’s not far enough i usually go with the bpm, the date, and which track it is for the day (most in a day is 3 ideas before i stop). some i do name and while it’s nice to have a name, sometimes they evolve into something else and the same doesn’t quite fit. so i largely wait until it’s at a point where it makes sense to name it. In the last year i had 37 unfinished tracks with only like 6 or 7 actually having names.

I have a bad habit of using no-no words as project names. One day I’ll grow up. One day
And I thought I had weird project names.
Some examples include:
Big scawy dinosawr
wacky Glock in 4/3
Slidin’ off my bunkbed
Oh what a spooky phryge
Toe stubbing valentine
