It’s not my argument, but if half of people who ate this food actually researched a bit more into WHY they got fat from the food, then it’d be easier for them to lose weight. Yes a lot of cheap food put on shelves is of shit quality and usually bad if you’re trying to lose weight, but most of the time people are eating too much of it to start with. If somebody is unhappy with something, it ticks me off really badly when they won’t do anything about it.
Also it’s not entirely just about them being fat, it’s the fact that they’re so obnoxious about it:
“You’re fat.”
"YOU CAN’T FAT SHAME ME "
“I’m just saying the truth, asshole.”
“BUT I’M PROUD OF MY BODY!!! I LIKE THE WAY I AM!!!”
“I find that hard to believe.”
“THAT OFFENDS ME. I’M CANCELLING YOU.”
I’m don’t care what other people think of me, I’m 6’2", a bag of bones, and gay as all hell, I get the shit picked out of me, and people are literally just telling the truth. It’s when you don’t accept the fucking truth that pisses people off.
This is all true as well, and I think most people would agree that at some point it becomes a burden on all of us. The same goes for the next addict you know who has every incentive to just figure out how to stop and live a normal life but rejects it outright and again, continues to burden the people closest to them. (I was once one of those people, tbh)
Sometimes I just grapple with the idea that everything has to be a pitfall and a battle, but I’m not sure what the alternative is. Maybe living in a society without all of these pitfalls is an even scarier reality, because it gives us less of a choice to overcome these obstacles that seem, more or less, to be pretty universal. We also continue to want good things for other people, so I believe any critique like this is actually coming from a place of love, but I also know that people are less likely to listen if they think they’re being attacked.
I don’t know what the conclusion is, but I guess it’s all hard work.
People who claim they shot a face behind the Moon…like. really…i’ve seen the edits, and not impressed, but so many believe thatsht… I ve recently had a “discussion” with someone about it, and we waited till the Moon show up and we had a telescope and i kid you not, he said, he saw a face and i just saw the stars around the Moon. There is no arguing with such “people”.
Old people at the front of the queue at the supermarket that look surprised when the check-out operator asks them to pay for the trolley full of things. This is followed by at least 5 minutes of fumbling for wallets, purses, discount coupons and change.
Why is it such a revelation that the things they buy need paying for? I’m 84 you know? Yeah, just get on with it. Anyone seen my will to live?

Technology
Microsoft…make computer. Give computer a virus made by microsoft. Fix computer using a microsoft antivirus…
It’s a shame that the best quality products have to run fucking windows.
My laptop (the one i’m using to write this,) has an RTX 4060, AMD Ryzen 9, and 16 gig of ram, yet it runs windows…
Linux exists, but it’s too much effort to install and means that most of the things I want to use aren’t compatible without running a windows VM anyway…
That said, apple’s not much better, but at least you can just buy a computer and use it out of the box, no hoops to jump through. Maybe one day we’ll have a fourth stable OS for laptops to run on, but I highly doubt it
