Congrats on the 4 years and winning at gift giving @wayne . Wish that was me but I give good gifts to everyone except my girl. She, on the other hand, is like an gift giving god Iāve trusted with my deepest secrets. I get shit I didnāt know existed or never gave a second thought about that changes my life from her every time. She getsā¦ stuff that at least hasnāt been regifted yet.

sometimes it be like that though. iām laughing because my main squeeze is (by her own admittance) an awful gift-giver ā when itās expected. she abhors any pressure concoct a single sentence that demands vulnerable expression. she explains to me this is a trait she received from the Japanese side of her family. i guess it makes sense. i come from a family that only requires a pen and some paper to pour their souls out on to without consideration. interesting contrast.
anyway, she gets mad at each bday/holiday/anni that calls for gift exchange because she thinks i always āout doā her. little does she know that I procrastinate and quietly write down things she says she wants/thinks i should buy her, in my phone notes every now and then, with a link to the ābuy nowā landing page lol. when i am feeling sentimental, iāll make her some art, a song, or write an intricate profession of love.
but then there are yearsā¦ where i get her a new garbage can that opens when you wave your hand over it. last christmas was tight financially, i got her a pillow and she got me socks.
iām totally winning the anniversary this year though. iāll check back. iāll be surprised if she out thoughtfulās me.
side note: as @White_Noise touched on, the gifts she gives me, by simply being herself and loving me, are life-shaping, future forging, energy restoring; quite simply she is the brightest point of my universe that feels the most safe, hopeful, and worth everything to me. not many people see me like she does and still think iām attractive

Gift giving is not for everyone, but to make it easier for her, tell her to just grab something for you when she finds something throughout the year in her travels, and put it away for that special day. And if she doesnāt find anything thatās totally ok. Itās far less pressure.

tbh the she shows her affection and love toward me constantly, as well dropping spontaneous random gifts for me (like a coupon) every other day of the year, i donāt need her to get me gifts. sheās hard to shop for sometimes too. she and are not very materialistic people, more experiential. she said to me a few times, ādonāt buy me jewelry, buy us a plane ticket.ā

Mine is the same way. She tried the whole materialism thing back when she lived in the old country and it didnāt work out for her then. I have a baseline I want to hit, but itās not too crazy. You know those āmale livingā memes where they have 1 fork, 1 knife, 1 spoon, 1 plate, and 1 glass? Thatās her. Iām showing her itās like, allowed for you to have a plate set of fun different colors and you can have like a favorite one for breakfast or something. And you mix and match with your colored glass set. You know, fun.

Hey can anyone get this page open? I bought a used Poly Beebo with a unique firmware on it and Poly came through with an updater to get me onto the normal less buggy firmware. But the link they sent wonāt open in literally any web browser with any permissions that Iāve tried. I got back to them and they said sometimes itās a temporary issue, but I waited while I was out of town for a week and itās still throwing the same error. Am I missing something?
