Some ideas I have

Like say if an artist has a release on glitchpluse they can have the option of creating a doc that breaks down the processes of how they made each track if they want to.

And also optional…on the glitchpluse social media pages some people if they want can do a quarterly review of hardware and new vsts…and other music production related stuff…

As for the knowledge base section of the forum…I like the idea of having our own wiki for music production…but a better more feasible idea might be releasing a music production newsletter that covers stuff from basic industry standard tips and tricks to advanced techniques and it could be however frequently released as needed…and then the doc could be copy paste and thereby be saved in forum posts in the knowledge section instead of sifting through old posts in the studio section or having a multitude of people editing a page and having conflicting info on something like how to use a reverb.

Idk…:slightly_smiling_face:

I think a lot of people just kind of have a vision and go for it, which might be why it seems like there’s not really a whole lot of resources and infographics dedicated to what you (or others) are doing - there might not really be a huge need for it. I’m not sure if anyone really needs specific tutorials on certain DAWs or how to use a reverb (the documentation for paid products is usually pretty superb), and that might directly contrast the amount of FOSS-type discussions happening elsewhere that seem almost confusing to some, until they find themselves needing it too  .

I also tend to think most people are pretty happy with their own output, otherwise it’s kind of hard to slap that ‘render’ button.

With that said, I don’t think I’ve checked out the knowledge base in a while and there might be a whole lot more there that I missed out on, but sometimes the best way to get things moving is to make some studio threads, ask questions, answer what you can and feed your thirst for more. What really gets me fired up is when people start asking, “Is there a way to do thing X with thing Y?”, but we’ve all got our own splintered topics of interest, for sure.

I also like your ideas, and I’d be glad to see more studio threads of every variety springing up. The lack of newcomers asking questions seems to stagnate the rate at which any of us need to provide answers (provided we have them at all), so maybe getting deeper into this stuff starts with getting more newbies on board. I’m guessing that’s the hard part

I was thinking the newsletter and the gear reviews might get some traffic to the site
