sLoMo MkII - Spherical Anomalies

I posted this a while back to YT.
I went through a period where my old WIPs went inactive(computer failure) and posted a lot of projects to my YT channel. Attempted to make use of the wav’s I had on hand for a while.

Outside of a number I was able to group together, I don’t think this one made it on one of my more extended videos.

But every time I’ve re-visited, I’ve enjoyed it none the less. Thoughts are much appreciated.

This is really cool, man. I’m not normally a fan of trip hop-type stuff but this is really interesting; although the beat doesn’t evolve a whole lot, the backdrop feels like it goes through at least 3 distinct moods, and I really like the progression of it all. The pianos and chord progression glues everything together and makes it feel like it’s going somewhere, which is a sign of excellent songwriting in my book.

This really sounds like it could be part of an indie game or something. Nice work!

Heh, yea drums aren’t usually that dynamic. I probably use double ups, stutters, reverses and cut outs more than most other changes. Always feel like I get a good bunch of stuff going and lose sight on how to really change it or add in flair.

And thank you! My favorite parts are usually jamming out the chords/notes overall. Likely rewrite that over the repeated stuff quite a bit along a project or jam. Much of my stuff has always been piano incorporated. Definitely the part I enjoy most.

even if most days I’m using my keyboard and mouse since my controller is still out away.

And not to create a new thread, you’d probably like this. This is apparently where I put it when I was compiling stuff around that time:
