Spotify people! Send me your curations!

This is my most recent one.

While we’re at it, let’s all follow each other on there.

Post here if you use Spotify at all.

We all know why Spotify is evil, so I don’t want this to become a Spotify hate thread, but if you do use it, drop in and follow these playlists. Honestly good stuff, worth it.

I just realized this is pretty much just a Merck / Sending Orbs playlist, but apparently I don’t stretch much further than that

Hella is good shit. One of my favorite shows was when they were on tour for No 666 in Outer Space. Honestly I wish they would’ve kept that lineup over the long term, I feel like they could’ve gotten as big as Death Grips currently is

Do you think Hella’s No 666 in Outer Space lineup could’ve made them as big as Death Grips, especially with how bands like that are blowing up on Spotify
?

Is Death Grips still big? haven’t heard anything from them in years

also, while I’m here…

lots of good vibes in this one:

Probably not, compared to a lot of other bands. But whenever I see close to a million listeners monthly I figure they’re at least getting some heavy playlist rotation, even if people don’t know what they’re listening to

That’s pretty much exactly what I said, but maybe I should consider the idea that Primus isn’t listened to all that much more than Death Grips, if we’re using Spotify as any kind of real metric (it isn’t, but it’s a snapshot in time at least).

Things obviously change drastically when there’s new material involved, and a lot of popularity nowadays is based on playlists and curators, so I guess it’s all just a big pile of ambiguity now. We will never know the truth :joy:

Well, back in my day we didn’t even have those numbers, so I’ve gone crosseyed
