I can’t decide to love or hate the movie…I mean how do you even make a movie out of that book anyway?
I think Junkie is probably my favorites of his books though.

I actually haven’t seen Naked Lunch, somehow, but I heard it’s really Cronenberg-y, and I love him. Recommended watch?

I feel like if you like Naked Lunch you should defo watch to at least see what they did with it. It straight up has practical FX talking buttholes so there is that…
I’ve read Junkie and Naked Lunch, both good. The Naked Lunch movie has little to do with the book, as far as the plot goes. It really is kind of a different thing, but it’s still very weird, and worth a watch. Better be prepared for grossness tho lol

All I’ve been doing is practicing song lighting over… and over… and over… Like, I basically know how our consoles, I’m getting practice running lights to songs, maybe on the creative side I’m still branching out… but man… it’s just getting so boring

I was handed a confusing unemployment sheet last week that I read today.
I do not qualify, and I will gladly accept a shit paycheck for one week. That’s what I get for trying to ape the system! 
(Meanwhile I can’t help but wonder where half the staff is…)
From now on, I will show up, and stay the designated hours, which is 7 hour days this week for my line that doesn’t exist at the moment (the line I was assigned to today left after only five (I stayed…)), It has been one confusing mandate after another for the past however many weeks.
Some “near misses” with giant falling windows because people aren’t working where they’re used to. Still highly entertaining (I may have been involved with one two weeks ago…), but a bit dangerous.
I just hope they keep letting me chop up shit with this saw like today and last Friday. I’ve loved that position since before all this shit started.
Meanwhile I’m urged to STAY AT HOME and feel like an absolute bastard every time I leave my house (gotta do laundry tomorrow).

The movie was made by Cronenberg and Burroughs not to make a movie out of the book. They wanted to bring in a overall vision of Burroughs life’s work. The whole Wilhelm Tell routine thing is how he killed his wife. The whole thing about majoun(his time in Tanger) and the text collection is how he wrote naked lunch. William Lee is the pseudonym he published his first book under. And so on. The movie takes parts of the book and parts of his life and parts of how he actually put that book together in the first place and mixes it.
It’s definitely worth watching. They should have just called it differently, maybe just “Interzone” or something like that.

Fuck yeah, in the midst of my “forcefully having to move during a pandemic adventure” I found my 666/666 copy of Otto’s Pukology on vinyl.
I used to torture so many friends with this over the years. Especially the friends that get liquor sick and party fouled my pad.

In other news my holiday re-supply got fucked up so celebrating my 420 2020 a day late but wow boy it was worth the wait. I ain’t got big beautiful buds like this in a minute and I’m TORCHED off like half a regular joint.

The world is fucked right now. We are making masks and getting them (responsibly) to people that need them. The ones we are making are really cool, the are just like cotton material, but there is a pocket where you can put like cut pieces of coffee filter or furnace filter to help make them more effective.

Reminds me a few parent teacher conferences in my late tweens, early teens LMAO I slept a lot and listened to David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and the Chemcial Brothers.
My laptop and only means of entertainment and outside communication has finally died.
