It is finally time for another compilation if anyone is interested in participating. I know there were quite a few people who were just a bit too late for the last one. I’m currently debating when the deadline will be but it likely won’t be anytime in the immediate future, so let’s say early to mid November. As for themes I’m generally open to whatever. We are open to all genres but strongly prefer to showcase experimental genres and subgenres: drone / ambient / new age, abstract electronics and electronica, neo-psychedelic and math, and vaporwave / retrowave / chillwave stuff without vocals or too many vocal samples.
The compilation will just be for digital formats and will only be posted to Bandcamp, Subvert, Mirlo, and Jam.coop. Any money raised (if any) will go right back into the label so we can finish out our 15th and 16th years of physical releases. I’m also debating just making the compilation free this time around as a gift to the general public / our loyal listeners who know what’s cool.
Submissions are now closed - if we already talked, get me your tracks! We’re going to do another one in a few months, so no worries to those who may have missed this one.
The time for the next one has come! Here’s the official info (not much of a prompt, but hey, we’re open)
Call for artists: We’re doing another compilation! This time we’re celebrating 15 years and 150 releases. Anyone who wants to submit is totally welcome! The only real criteria is the track should be under 8 minutes and fall into a genre / subgenre of the type of stuff we’d normally release. I will say that we generally prefer stuff with minimal to no vocals or vocal samples. If you’re in doubt you can check out our previous compilations or some of our releases to get an idea, but don’t feel like it has to sound exactly the same as someone else’s work. It doesn’t hurt to submit! No real deadline yet, you’ll likely have a month or two to get your tracks in, but once we’re full up we’re full up. Other than that it’s all fair game. I look forward to hearing your tracks!
shucks, i completely missed this one. I’ll persuse the label and see exactly what you want, i’ve been drifting in a more extreme direction recently. hopefully we can come to a compromise.
