Glitch 2 has become freeware, due to the untimely passing of its creator, Kieran Foster (April 2nd, 1979 - July 2nd, 2026). He was only 47 years old.

Is there one person on this forum who hasn’t used dblue Glitch and Glitch 2 at some point or the other?

How many celebrated IDM releases we love also incorporate his plugins?

When I randomly discovered Glitch, it blew my mind - all of a sudden I could make glitchy stuff without much effort; only creativity was needed. I still use both from time to time.

I just read about this! I owe so much of my humble production beginnings to this man. Truly will be missed. I am so grateful for his life’s work!

Yeah, RIP.

Def a legend. I used Glitch 1 so much back in the days. Later I switched to other plugins, but I think all those were more or less clearly inspired by it, starting from the obvious clone Effectrix to stuff such as StutterEdit or even ShaperBox…

+1 for having used the OG glitch.

Can’t remember using it on anything I’ve released except for this track towards the end. Its signature sound is blatantly obvious :laughing:

But I do sometimes use shaper box, which I consider to be a direct successor to dblue glitch
