I’m not sure what “art kid language” is but wayne did not say the artwork should reflect the music of the compilation specifically, because we have not yet received all submissions, nor has all the music been chosen. So, you won’t find the music anywhere. Wayne just said the artwork should reflect experimental music culture, without imitation.
In other words: Inspired by experimental music culture, but not copying other artists

i blame the british, but as an american sometimes I use idioms and colorful terms that don’t translate to other languages very clearly, so thank you for your interpretations @manton you are spot on.

I don’t care if I make the cut (my [solo] track kind of sucks anyway, so cut away!); I’m just happy to be here, and doing the drums on @groesk’s track has been a lot of fun. I’ve never heard a bad @White_Noise track, so I don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about 
I’m also glad to see so many submissions for this so far. This is going to be a good one!

I haven’t made a single piece for the submission
I can’t even say I didn’t have time, I really just slacked off and didn’t make much music at all in the… What, six completely free weeks I had? Yeah that’s on me. I have two more days of holidays left, tomorrow and Monday, so unless I pull off something stupid and make a banger in that time it’s either next month or never. Probably doesn’t matter, but I’m really sorry, guys.

got the track finished and uploaded. its very loud and harsh, so feel free to normalize and turn down the volume as you wish. Kvlt did all of the drum work, and I did everything else. learning to mix everything in audacity was a learning experience for sure. found out the hard way that a good microphone goes a long way. hopefully it finds a slot somehow.

Submitted my final version. I’m really glad this thread got me to get back on my ass to make a new tune regardless of if it’s chosen. Good timing! Nice to see all those old names. My music time is limited these days.

yo @Mecha_Twitchy don’t fret homie. no apology needed, please. we all get it. the creative process is tough. i’ll wager 1¢ i’m going to need an extension of a week or too as usual anyway. i haven’t asked nick yet but by now he’s used to it and if he’s feeling kind maybe he’ll allow it but don’t tell anyone else it’s a secret

how about “Discomfort”? you have a library of music you’ve made before, is there one that’s almost finished in your mind and just needs touching up?

@Manton when you have a chance, might be a good idea to set track naming guidelines to include artist name, title, other pertinent details since metadata in .wav files seems to not be immediately obvious on the platform
for now @here make sure you included your artist name in the .wav file, if not reupload and put something like “re-sub” in there as well so we know it’s a duplicate/correction.

Just need your artist name and the track name guys, preferably with capitals where applicable, because some artists deliberately do not use capitals. @Jazzyspoon yours is fine.
