Post albums you have impulsively clicked on and listened to purely cause the artwork connected to you (you liked it).
Where did you see the album? Streaming algorithm, Bandcamp, local record store, publication etc/ Did you also connect with the music, or was it not what you were expecting?
My first example turned out to be an OST for a film i’ve never heard of. Found through Tidal Algorithm. It’s ambient, tense and dreamy. I like it.
The goal is not to find out why you like the artwork. The goal is to look at the connection between whether the artwork represents/identifies the music well and how communication through visual art compliments music/sounds/auditory art of any kind.
The art from this OST is 100% representing the music. The music sounds underwater. Very Brian Eno.
This is the first electronic album I ever bought. Got it while I was in college because I thought the cover looked “crazy.” I would say it’s a good representation of the music lol. I still listen to this sometimes.
