I used to have some really silly ones up on bandcamp that I spent way too much time on, complete with fake credits and all sorts of wild horseshit. I can’t seem to find any of them anymore, and now I’m wondering if they purge stuff like this over time

Also, if anyone comes up with something hilarious, I’d love to make a ridiculous fake promo page for it just to see how far we can bring something like this to life, or trick people into believing is real for a couple of cheap laughs

Maybe like a cornball rapper who instead of pretending to be from a gang in the hood actually embraces being a goody-two-shoes who’s born and raised in a peaceful rich people suburb and his raps are corny and have no swears or anything

DJ PJs. They have narcolepsy so they just pass out during sets, and make it a thing by wearing pajamas on stage. Very chill atmospheric beats of course.

An alien who has the most beautiful instrumentals and the most fire beats for his song and then he sounds like:

I’m actually surprised that not a whole lot of artists use weird vocal effects. Autotune does so much manipulation as it is, but it seems like everyone stops there. Why not bitcrushers, multi-FX chains, frequency shifters and other bizarre stuff?

DJ Narcolepsy wouldn’t stand for it, I know that much.

Mmm, there was a track demo I saw once that turned the vocals into a lead, and a crazy one at that. They were compressed, gated and widened into this lfo controlled… thing. Fucking crazy stuff.

Also I feel like this has a place in the “interesting use of vocals” topic, but only really for the first drop

Does it all for the nookie
