My name is Mecha, I’m a hardcore techno producer from Australia.
I usually hang around on the Terraria Official Forums, but I don’t really get to talk much about my music, so I’ve made a profile here (to my schoolwork’s detriment…)
I use FL studio to produce my music, which ranges from Breakcore to Splittercore. If you wanna chat with me about that, flick me a DM or something. (I’m not sure how this forum works, so…)
Oh, and I am learning like 7 languages, so if you wanna chat about that do the same as above ig…

Welcome! You sound awesome already, and many of us dig breakcore around here, so I bet we’re all going to want to hear your music when you can post it!
Do you have a link to your stuff? I think you might be able to post one in your profile prior to 30 posts or whatever it is, but I might be wrong. Glad you’re here regardless!
Sweet, I’m glad to hear people like my type of music here… Though I’m not really picky about electronic music, most of it’s good 
I do have a link to my Bandcamp profile, but the music on there is pretty bad… That’s my first album and I didn’t know how to operate FL properly (not to mention the audio clipping issues 
) Luckily, I do have a new album ready for release, but my parents don’t want to cooperate >w>

What are you talking about? This sounds like some top-tier new-school breakcore. I’m sure (and by that I mean I’m not sure) the mods / admins will be ok with me doing this, but this is some seriously fabulous work.
If that’s what you sound like when you’re first learning FL Studio, the sky is definitely the limit and I can’t wait to hear what’s on deck. This destroys a lot of the newer stuff I hear, and your automation is spectacular.

That’s because we’re in a wacky world full of elevator music right now 
. I’ve actually gotten that a few times recently and felt really confused by it, but then I had to remind myself that soundcloud rap was still going strong in my neck of the woods
I think that’s what makes congregating here pretty special. How long had you been making music prior to the release of this, BTW? I’m kind of dumbfounded by the amount of detail in this, like I wish all of the new-schoolers possessed your technical skills
Elevator music is surprisingly accurate lmfao 
I started making stank ass beats around 2017 on garageband because I wanted to make the soundtrack to a Terraria mod (that… Never actually got off the ground, lol.) I always preferred electronic music over acoustic tracks, so making music on garageband always seemed to click for me. Around 2020, I started listening to techno and things like bass house, which soon changed into “Breakcore” when I came out as trans. From there I started to get into music more, listening to what I shall call “Furry music” (mostly shitcore… :3) I heard a few hardcore techno songs but though they were a bit too strange. After all, the kick drums sound like hard drives failing in harmony… Lol.
Last year my interest in hardcore music was sparked by listening to Uptempo hardcore. I downloaded FL studio, learnt how distortion worked, and failed miserably. But, I started with some short DnB/breakcore tracks (AN EXCESSIVE USE OF PROFANITY/SELF EDUCATION) and added kicks as I went, to some success. Nowadays, I make slightly more conventional hardcore tracks… Sorry. I went on a bit of a rant

Hey Mecha, if I recall correctly, I remember your music being very interesting. Wasn’t a genre I had heard before so it was cool to hear.
(also, you seem to be right, this place seems pretty cool.)
