Hi Guys I’m New Here 😀

Hi I can’t compose music or even play an instrument but I want to learn how. I hope to learn in college one day. Well I like to listen to Electronic music but the Electronic artists I like are

• Void (Mournfinale)

• Ryu☆

• Colorful Sounds Port (I don’t know if he counts but if he doesn’t then sorry)

• Zektbach (he’s cool too)

But I mostly like Electronic songs not specific artists

Anyways plz no h8 m8 and also I’m new here so yeah

Welcome! If you ever need tips or tools for getting started, you’ve come to the right place. Otherwise, there are lots of other creative things going on here, too, including visual arts and everything in between if you’re into anything like that. It’s great to have you!

Welcome welcome

It’s always good to see somebody who’s eager to learn about music, and holy moly can we deliver education…

I love your taste in music, by the way. Ryu has some super good tracks iirc, we should chat about that some time.

Anyway, I recommend you should learn how to play either guitar or piano first, because they’re the most widely applicable instruments other than percussion. Or you could jump straight into trying to make your own music… Cakewalk is a great starting DAW.

Welcome to the forum! Glad you decided to join us.

Certainly no hate here, we’d me more than happy to help get you started.

I think anyone can compose or play an instrument if they want to learn. You’ve probably got more in you than you think you do, so don’t rule anything out. Way too early for that.

I’ll check out some of the artists you posted, as I’ve not heard of them before.

As far as learning to make music, I’m assuming you’ve got a computer. Do you have any sort of music making software?

We can help give you a jump start if you’re interested, just let us know what you have at your disposal.

Cheers!

Welcome! I think you’re in the right place. If there’s one piece of global advice on production I can give you, it would be try a lot of stuff and don’t be afraid to fail or make something bad. That’s how you learn, and we all make stinkers, they just don’t get shown usually. For every tune ai’m happy with there’s about 4 duds I never finished
