This compilation is the result of the IDMforums x Glitchpulse Records Sample Pack Challenge, an open call inviting electronic and experimental producers to create new works from a shared pool of one hundred original samples designed by Analog Samples. Participants were free to add their own drums and melodies, but every other element was built from a common sonic source.
The result is a collection that highlights both unity and contrast. Each track carries the DNA of the sample pack while reflecting the unique identity of its creator. This release demonstrates how a common set of sounds can lead to an unexpectedly wide field of interpretation.

Wow, what an album. Some really great sounds in here - I think my favourite had to be from @carlos_pG , really heavy stuff dude. It sorta reminds me of a spy or alien battle scene in a game like mass effect or halo or something
Keep it up guys, and thanks for everyone who put their time into it.
Thanks,@KvlT for providing the samples. Judging by the results, they were inspiring to many and here’s hoping many others will work with them in the future!
Fun fact: my entry (well, a slightly tweaked & extended version, with…vocals!) is going to be the first track of my next album, to be released Feb or March 2026.
Finally, a bit of good news. It shows that all those lonely hours at the DAW pay off eventually. I was always in this for the long game and now I’m even more motivated to crack on.
Thanks to all the positive comments and well done to everyone else who rose to the challenge.
Wow, this set came out really nicely! It was real pleasure to take part in this compilation and the results are fabulous — each track completely unique. Thanks to @Manton and @KvlT for setting this up and to Darren Ziesing for doing the nice job on the mastering. I hope to have the chance to participate in future opportunities like this. I have put a short description of the set and a link in my recent twisted release’s credit notes. I can’t say in certainty that it will draw in any new peeps but the opportunity is there for anyone open to discover it. Thanks again!
