What are you not playing edition: PS3 refurb just started overheating in less than a week. I hope gamestop honors the shit out of their awesome work 
CS 1.6 is the best CS. The big thing here that it can run on super shitty computers so everyone can play it. Well balanced, fun, and what I liked the most were custom servers. DM, surf maps, fy, aim… I really hated CSGO because they made it to be more “competitive” and it’s always bunch of retards yelling at each other over lost match like their life has no other meaning. This toxic gameplay really makes me hate every competitive game in the market. Guys, it’s only a game.

Wife wanted a Nintendo Switch for playing on the big screen. Any stand out games I should look at? Only ever really games on a PC.
I’ve got a whole list of PC / switch indie crossovers scattered across genres, but if you’re talking about nintendo exclusives I’m pretty much useless.

If you want something with a world you can really get sucked into, then Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a great choice. I’m not very good at video games, and not a huge Zelda fan, but I was able to enjoy that one for 20 hours or so over a few weeks. Couldn’t finish it though.
The only game I have on my switch right now is Super Mario Odyssey, and I love it to pieces. Played it all the way through twice (I’ve played all the Marios since Galaxy back on the Wii and this is far and away the best). If you or she like platformers, I doubt you can go wrong with that one. Bright, vibrant levels begging to be explored, easy enough for me to beat the main story, but getting all the power moons is a real challenge that I keep going back for a few times a year.
I have Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the Wii U, but they did a version for the switch too. I love that one, still plug in my Wii U on occasion to play it. It’s a really laid back puzzle/exploration game. If you like running around in the Mario games, but want an easier, slower, less frantic experience, then this is perfect. The level design is really, really good stuff.
The other stuff I play is on my friend’s switch when he comes over. If you like playing together, overcooked is fun, and so are the usual suspects like Mario Kart and Mario Party (Mario Party surprisingly so for me). I’m sure there’s more, but that’s the stuff I’ve played.
I’m looking forward to picking up Luigi’s Mansion 3 and the new Pokemon after the holidays once I’m sure no one bought them for me.

Yeah. You know but matchmaking makes it more sense to play than just kill players on public servers.

I second Breath of the Wild. It’s a masterpiece in gaming. Also HOB looks great too as does Hyper Light Drifter in the PC indy crossover category.

I used to play a lot of games, but these days I just play stuff I can jump in and out of as I don’t have a whole lot of free time these days.
I beat both South Park games a few months ago, and for a while I was playing Assassin’s Creed: Origins and really enjoy it, but I find the combat a little difficult and the size of the game daunting.
I found a good deal on Shadow Of Mordor GOTY edition and have been playing that again. I got Shadow Of War too and hopefully can get to that before the turn of the century.

Been playing Borderlands 3 relentlessly since it came out.
I really love how much freedom and customization you have when building your characters, so much so, that it can totally change your playstyle, even with the same character - depending on your build.
I just wish they had a lot more single/multiplayer end game activities… hopefully they will, and it’s just a matter of time.
Project lunar just got released over the weekend, so revisiting genesis classics on the mini without the shitty m2engage emu has been a blast. All for that fucking controller feel.
Picked up “Pathfinder: Kingmaker” in the Steam Crimbo sale. Very Baldur’s Gate but quite fun so far, though not played much yet.
RDR2 is pretty alright. Didn’t like it that much at first but it gets better later. Slow pace gaming experince but can be very immersive and you feel you’ve been achieving a lot just by taking Arthur to a bath or cooking some meat at the campfire. Mission variety is decent but how they progress is very predictable (scripted massive shootout at the end of mission that sometimes feels very unnecessary). Great map and its exploration. Do like some of random encounter - makes some unique road trips. Satisfying gunplay, especially shotguns that makes heads explode, gnarly stuff. Reminds me of good days of Manhunt.
