Free plugins!

Thanks again @White_Noise I download Spitfire and it’s going to be very useful. Great suggestion!

Another algo reverb:

Some loop thingy:

A nice bamboo flute:

I got the reverb but haven’t tried it yet and the other two require the full version of of Kontakt - but maybe those are of use to some here. Would love to use the flute…

If I could use all the things Kontakt has without using Kontakt, I would… but when I see that I have to use Kontakt to use some kool samples, I just don’t use them, because I have to use Kontakt.

it’s sad.

And I know I kould use all those things, but I just don’t, because they are kontakt’d

that said, I’m going through a whole thing where I choose to do the opposite of the habits i’ve formed over the last couple years, and goddammit, that means I have to use Kontakt.

Anyone tried this yet?

If you got Bitwig, check out your account page once in a while - I just found a few free licenses for plugins such as the Excite Lifeline Lite Bundle there… kinda strange, I don’t remember receiving an email about it and the plugins have to be redeemed before a deadline. They could probably get way more marketing buzz out of stuff like that if they didn’t hide things as secret powerup items… but very nice in any case

Check Kilohearts,
They have a bunch of free and paid plugins. The free ones do require you create an account, but things like their transient shaper are super useful for making things sound punchier.

Melda have a ton of free plugins as well. Basically, lite versions of their plugins for sale.

Free until December.

I haven’t had a 303 emu in a while and this one looks like it does some fun randomization.

Looks fun, thanks for the tip!

I finally found a copy of the RED EQ installer from Acustica Audio. This is a basic 3 band EQ that was free, and I used it on all my masters for years. Was super sad Acustica had quit distributing it, but thankfully I found a data hoarder who had a copy of this. I have it working on my machine, and I saved a copy to my google drive in case I need it again in the future, and figured I’d share my favorite free EQ ever with you all since it’s up there.

Check it out, very good. Better than standard fl crap

The Russian ПОЛИВОКС, tehre is a vst emulation, but it reverts to default every time you exit your DAW. Sounds awesome tho.

For me, on win 10 it only installed a folder with an un-installer and nothing else.

Sounds like a Patcher project to me . If we remap everything, FL studio can handle it

I never knew their DSP to be subpar, but I’m pretty new to FL overall. What don’t you like about theirs?

One of the only ways to modify side frequencies in FL studio is to use the built in “Maximus” compressor, which makes the sample sound like shit even with the compression turned off. Also, standard Parametric EQ 2 likes to clip and cut a few frequencies from the original sound, which is really ass. Not to mention you get a set number of eq points. ZL can be turned into a monster of an eq:

I just think that some of the standard FL plugins are a bit lacking.

You raise a good point there. Does FL even have an input follower? I didn’t realize how much I rely on TDR Nova whenever I need a dynamic EQ, and admittedly that’s probably one of the main reasons why I use Bitwig for actual songmaking.

Although I’m really light on EQ usage as it is. I see it as a necessary evil :imp:

I’m the opposite, I use EQ a lot (I also usually start with really low quality samples so you know…)
Amen breaks need a lot of refinement for project use.

We have the peak controller which is a level follower and LFO that can be mixed. Why IDK, but we have that.
