Dark Reader! (A way to help those who hate the Orange)

#1

Chrome users rejoice!

I found this cool extension called “Dark Reader”. I’ve read some posts in this subforum that a few people mentioned the orange text was a little hard on the eyes, so I thought this might help anyone who wanted to change it up.

This also works on any website in chrome, customizable. Really cool stuff! I currently have the forum set to grayscale as an example, but you can lighten it up or swap it around however is comfortable.

I personally dig on the orange myself, but even the default settings can help out eye strain for the few of us who lurk on here daily.

For a moment I thought the political thread is back lol.
Nice find, I sometimes turn everything monochrome with Iris: https://iristech.co/

i just use Flux and maybe it filters that orange a bit so it doesn’t stand out too much. Very overlooked software.

Hey what about mobile users :iphone:? People nearby confuse this for pornhub. It’s awkward. Can we consider copying the css dark reader uses and add an option/button in mobile for “dark mode”, like the one on my 2012 MacBook Pro :computer: , thanks
