Haha, hey man maybe we should collab?
Yes! I’m currently homeless though lmao…been crashing at a friend’s for about a week, trying to figure out what to do, just going to work everyday taking life a day at a time. My laptop is damaged and may not work any more either so I’m kinda screwed on sound design and production for now. I’m so down though, I love your music! Just researching a bunch of music and techniques for now.
Maybe check out Access to Arasaka. It seems like a dark counterpart to this. If this stuff is like driving through some futuristic city on a bright and sunny day, AtA is like doing the same at 3am while it’s raining… and we are being invaded by some alien insect master race.
Now this is dark right here. Intricate sound design. I’ve been listening to nothing but Rob Clouth, Woulg, Flint Kids, Datacode, Audeka, Amon Tobin, Igorrr, Qebrus, N². Just sound design shit lol. Access To Araska is definitely my speed lately! I’m always trying to find inspiring sound design like this. I need more!!
Some really cool stuff there man!
How did you ever hate it? No, wait I think I know. You convinced yourself it was shit because of a few specific things about the music, motivating you to keep going and do better, and then looking back, motivational blinkers off, you realise how it was actually pretty good.
Also, it’s funny how similar the name of one of my tracks (“Welcome to Psyberia”) is to your album’s name.
I did originally want my artist name to be ‘Cyberspace’, because of how much computers have been a part of my life. But then I thought ‘Psyberspace’ - perfect, merging two of my favourite things. No, too long, “Psyber” is is then haha.
Gotta love a good coincidence.
Hating your stuff is something I can relate to. Discovering that the stuff you hate is actually pretty damn good is something I can also relate to.
This is really, really good and I appreciate the fact that you posted a Soundcloud playlist instead of a Spotify link (YES, I’M ONE OF THESE PEOPLE). That’s some really, really good music right there! Might take me a couple of days for the whole thing to sink in, but as far as my first impressions go, you can color me impressed.
Thanks man, haha. My stuff is on spotify (and also free download on bandcamp) but I like the way the embedded SC playlists work, super easy. Thanks again for listening and digging on it! I really need to return to some of the styles in these tracks and make some beat crazy stuff again. I got soft the past couple years, lol
