so are these 35 tracks made up of “A few old tune” etc?
Some are repeated over the three tapes, but not many.
I mean… just listen to this absolutely beautiful track… words fail me…
wooooooooo looking forward to this. BoC releases are an EVENT for me
not sure why. i mean they’re all right I guess ![]()
I’ve never been a huge fan, but Geogaddi was the second electronic album I bought. I thought it was just a bunch of short loops at the time, but I’ll give them a listen again since I like a lot more chill electronic music since then.
I’ll be forever grateful to them because BoC helped instigate a threesome back in my wilder days lol.
Update: Memory unlocked! I listened to them on Amazon (probably in 2002) and I liked the first tracks on their two albums because it reminded me of the Earthbound soundtrack and bought them on that alone:
Just got their albums on my ipod and will listen tomorrow, minus those interlude songs (they went hard with interludes lol).
it was also one of my first for electronic music CDs as well, i think!
Super excited for this. I really hope it delivers. there is so much expectation and speculation within the BOC fan world about this and if another album would ever happen. And now it is!
From what i have seen/heard it looks to be coming from a deep or dark place. i could be wrong.
Camp Fire Head Phase is my fave album. Its a good balance between interludes and lovely grooves.
it’s going to be the soundtrack of the impending apocalypse and i’m here for it
still one of my fave remixes of all time
also, here’s a fun playlist:
I’ll be in Costa Rica when this comes out AND it’s my wife’s bday and i got gushy when she suggested for her bday (and also celebrating our anniversary, which is on 5/22), she goes, “ooh! how about we have a listening party in the jungle for when the new BoC is released”
… i was like, babe you’re fkn perfect please never change
That’s dope
I haven’t heard a BoC release I didn’t like yet
That Midas Touch mix up is Gold!
I made this today. Felt inspired!
It’s not may 29th I’m a sad panda
“Inferno” releases in an hour or so.
I spent yesterday listening to all the BoC releases.
There are very few tracks I don’t like in the catalogue. It was fun hearing some of their music I haven’t listened to in 15+ years. “Music has the Right…” and “Tomorrows Harvest” have always been clear favourites for me, but Tomorrows Harvest just has a very eerie quality to it that resonates with me. From what I’ve heard/read about “Inferno” it will likely be of similar ilk, albeit with more drums.
@wayne the below track always gave me strong Terminator vibes and since this is the last track on their previous album, perhaps it’s foreshadowing…??
This is also a fantastic apocolypse track:
Warp failed me. Sitting here refreshing the bloody Bandcamp page and it’s still not released. Thought I’d check on Tidal and there it all was! Listening now…
Fantastic album all round!
Some very classy call backs to previous albums and certainly some doom and gloom peppered throughout. It’s refreshing!
The album has been on repeat since last night when released. Not gonna lie, I thought it would be a bit meh, not that I wouldn’t enjoy it, because if they make it, there’s going to be something to love. With Prophecy at 1420, like it was really good, but the direction and polished quality had me a bit worried for the overall feel of the album. But I was blown away. Speechless. Started getting that sore throat dull ache, tears welling up… The album is amazing, it might be the best one. I’ve always thought nothing can beat Geogaddi and that still might be true, (for me of course) but holy shit, it definitely contends if nothing else. So grateful to be here to have heard it, love those guys.
Listened a number of times now, thank god the boys delivered.
