I made a thing I wanted to do since forever but never really had the sample chopping skills for it.
This beat tape is born out of my love for a certain type of punk music, usually referred to as Anarcho-punk, and my love for the MPC workflow.
On this beat tape I sampled British punk bands like Crass, Crucifix, Dirt, Discharge and Flux of Pink Indians, added some drum one shots and hammered it all together on my MPC. Then passed some beats to local London rapper Wretched Immortal so he could add his vocals on some beats.
The result is my most uncompromising release ever, but also the release I had most fun making, I truly enjoyed the process and I think it shows.
@Auto-meh-geddon this is absolutely nasty work all around! I would love to hear a full length release of this style from you! Do dope… (not even going to edit that lmao)
Thanks guys, glad you’re enjoying it, you’re making me reconsider what to do next, I’m planning a no sampling dark sub thing but maybe I should stick to punk and sampling…
