It was popular because it was made for a game Arcaea. (When they died, the fans played the level a ton to put it as the #1 most played song that day as a tribute to them. Which was really sweet!)
Because of this song they became super popular, being featured in more games
Here’s a remix I liked a few years ago!
This was the last song they made. It was a collaboration with 3R2 (another artist from Taiwan)
It’s been two years since they died. I remember when it was announced. I was really sad. I don’t know how exactly, but even if I did, I wouldn’t share it because it’s not my place.
I share this so others can listen to their music too in case they like it. Especially Ether Strike!
Hey, this doesn’t sound as bad as I thought it would.
I think the only thing keeping me away from this genre (or potential cluster of genres, as I’m sure they’ve split into a lot of subgrenres as everything tends to do) is the weeb aesthetic and anime-style vocals. The music tends to have this interesting ‘rubber band’ sound (that’s the only way I can describe it) that sounds like it’s hard-limited in FL studio or something, and I weirdly almost dig it. I guess not being into anime just makes it seem a bit alien, or “for those people”.
I like that they’re not really trying to appeal to the masses in that way, though. Maybe it’s like some of the black metal I listen to; it’s obviously meant to scare 98% of the people who cross paths with it away, and that makes it even more special somehow.
I originally stumbled upon artists like M1dy and T+Pazolite about 10-15 years ago and really wished I could put my weeb fears aside and actually enjoy the music. Maybe I’ll work through it one day
