Hi everybody, not sure if this is the right place to post this, I tried to post this in the tutorial section but the site wouldn't let me. Anyhow I was just wondering if there are any really good Reason tutorials out there. I'm new to making electronic music, and I have been using Ableton for about four months. I just started class last week on electronic music studio, and they use Reason and Pro Tools. Since I'm starting from the ground level with Reason I have been all over YouTube trying to find some decent tutorials. Found a couple that were kind of informative but I was just wondering if anybody knows if there are any really good detailed ones for beginners. I dove right into Ableton and I don't have a problem with that software, but Reason seems a tad bit more complex and I would like to learn more about it, I only have that class once a week.
Thanks in advance for any help.
You can spend hours on Propellerheads Youtube page. They at one point did 52 reason tutorials. so much info but remember its always best to dive in and do work. Don't get caught up in the tutorial whirlpool where you stop working on music. Click the link below.
I enjoyed the groove3 ones, but I don't think they have done any tutorials for reason for the newer versions. I paid for a month of Ask video and watched quite a few of their Reason 7 tutorials, which weren't bad either.
Just stay away from the "how to make ___ with Reason" and only spend time on the "how to use ___ Reason tool" ones IMO.
Since I started my journey into music production fourteen years ago with Rebirth, and even though I basicalky found what I was looking for in Live 4 - I often find myself thinking about how it would be working with Reason. I like the hardware studio layout ( cv madness ).
If there just was Vst(i) implementation...
(I ptobaply could go without all my fx plugins, but I'd definately miss some my synths...
Anyway, yesterday I eventually read some articles on SOS and watched some Reason tuts on YT. Will have a look here
