hello people of IDMforums! I was wondering if anyone could list some terms in dnb or dubstep or both!
any kind of terms are ok -- I was thinking any that represented sounds (ie: wub, wobble, yi, dun) and/or any that are associated with dnb/dubstep (ie: bass cannon, EP, sub-bass)
btw, idk if this would count as a term of dubstep sounds, but when I heard "Designed" by Tantrum Desire feat Jon Reline, I heard "yi yi yi" and then what sounded like a "yed yed yed" bassline. I thought that was cool! could any sound anyone hears from dubstep songs that they can incorporate as words count as a dubstep term? (I just love using "yed" with the "yi"! )
Are you kidding me? The creation of Wob and, to an extent, Wub was miles ahead of its time, as opposed to Wab. It is important to understand its ramifications in other genres' development over time (gabber and the newer forms of drum n bass, respectively). Any variants of these very particular sounds are not as important and should not deserve much attention in a thread like this.
It seems you are mocking my answer with your "Woj," which in my musical experience I have never heard, and appears dumb. This thread requires further discussion and demands serious answers, because doing so would be invaluable to the IDMF community's learning of sound synthesis, which you clearly lack. Get your shit together, man.
"Get yourself together, man. Move to Philly. Buy a loft. Start a noise band.
Get six or seven roommates… eat hummus with them.
Book some gigs. Paint. Smoke cloves.
Listen to Animal Collective. Start some type of salsa company."
