JACK issues in Linux

Okay, so JACK won't run or connect. I get a "Jack cannot connect to server as client" error message type thing. Kinda lost. Tried alot of things. Anyone have this issue?

It could be that you have not set up PAM for realtime.

I don't know which distribution you are using, but I would recommend looking here to get started.
