I constantly evaluate every color I see around me as to which colors I would mix if I was painting. It's almost a subconscious thing...For example, I see shadows on the grass and I would immediately think about paint colors and which blues I would use to cast the colors....
I really hate dust buildup. I have to clean nearly twice a week. My computer gets blown out with compressed air quite a bit. It's annoying. I see so many youtube videos of guys with these pristine, clean studio rooms and it pisses me off...do they not have this issue? Are they running some military-grade exhaust system that makes their room not have any dust? Do they get OCD about cleaning ten minutes before they press record?
I literally just went through my room, pulled the furniture out from the wall, vacuumed the living shit out of the entire space- enough to fill up the vacuum's debris receptacle FULL of dust...and yet here I am four days later and there's a thin film of dust on my desk...FML.
I feel you bro! I'm the same... except that I live in the CBD so I literally vacuum the house every second day.
It used to be EVERY day before I got a dust extractor / air purifier... best $500 I ever spent.
Seems a bit excessive for one room...and probably louder than what an audio engineer would tolerate in a control room. I could see that being fine in a living room, though. Seriously though. I really can't stand dust.
Er... you could just switch it off when you're recording / in the room. Then just switch it on when you leave. That way all the dust that would have settled in your absence would be extracted.
Also, if this seems too loud, I'm guessing your computer and all of your gear is installed in a room adjacent to your studio. You big rock star you
