I saw NIN live for the first time in June, I had no excuse to miss the show as the venue is just a walk away from where I live (a two minutes walk, to be honest). I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but I was. Reznor sings better than he ever did, the band is perfect, the show impressive ; a lot of songs I don't care for, on record, took a new dimension (opposed to some of the older hits which were a liitle bit of a disapointment, maybe).
And I really enjoyed Cold Cave who were opening - but I already liked the records. Actually, I'm not sure I would have liked them if I didn't know the songs already, as they were playing at a ridiculously low level, with no light show... Opening for a big band isn't the best way to reach a new audience, I guess.
