An awesome piece of work!! I found a couple of things I didn't know about, which will be being used shortly.
One tiny suggestion (if I may be so bold) - could you add (maybe as a footnote) the formula for working out delay times in section 6.3? The ol' "60000/bpm = delay time in MS" formula worked wonders for me when I was a nipper, and although delays mostly sync thmeselves now, it's a tidbit that would help beginners (whom I assume will be the biggest group of readers for your wonderful article).
Yeah, that's a good idea. Thanks! Currently it's impossible for me to revise this, because it's been spread far and wide over the Internet, and any modified versions would mean that there would be multiple versions of the guide floating around forever. But I'm in the process of writing a much expanded "guide to electronic music production," which will include this guide as a chapter. I'll incorporate the change in that.
Awesome. Hats off to you for attempting this mammoth task... as you say in your intro there's HEAPS out there for guitar-playing-rock-heads and bugger all for electronic stuff. I can't say "well done" in enough different ways!
