I've searched the forum but couldn't find a rhythmic noise thread for suggestions. So here it is.
Does anyone here likes rhythmic noise?
I'm looking for suggestions on interesting rhythmic noise. Specially if it has a really hard percussion (doesn't matter if it's synth or hip hop percussion).
Some of the good stuff I already know and liked it:
Sound Wave Pressure
Ten Data Keshin
High Voltage Project
(copypasta from a post i made in another forum)
a number of my favourite power noise and power electronics projects
Ah Cama Sotz
Ambassador21(kinda digital hardcore/noise)
IMMINENT STARVATION!!! (now called Imminent)
Navicon Torture Technologies
Mono No Aware
The [Law-Rah] Collective
In Slaughter Natives
The People's Republic of Europe
OP I picked a few new ones from your list including HPC there is a remix dead on of mkl run off the wipeout3 sound track. I love when you look away from the monitor on that because it makes you shed tears for a minute. Anyway some other stuff not in here yet
you guys pretty much nailed it. Most stuff on Ant Zen and Hands. Ant Zen is generally better, Hands is more straight forward and raw. Unfortunately this style kinda died off and not too many people still into it.
another one that is kinda noisy is Nullgrad also on Hands. kinda retro-spacey synths with distorted beats. They have another project called Zero Degree on Ant Zen that is really good but not noisy - instead more long tracks with hypnotic repetitive technoid beats and atmospheric synths.
I've been to the form of hands some months ago, I'd suggest you get the official compilation of the festival "Forms of Hands 2012" then see what you like.
Dirty K and <1979> stood out, but it's a question of personal taste.
the use of heavily distorted/overdriven traditional rock instruments in that track suggests noise rock to me. Rhythmic noise traditionally has a much colder sound, opting for more unnatural sounds to achieve a more bleak, unnerving feel.
one of my favourite examples of this is Converter - Red Crystal, a wash if high pitched noise that sounds like the scream of an unnatural entity peeking into our reality (at least that's my interpretation of it)
oh! first i thought "wow, this is a thread made for me", but then i t̶o̶o̶k̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶r̶r̶o̶w̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶k̶n̶e̶e̶ i noticed that this seems to be more like noisy industrial. when i think rhythmic noise, i think in the spectrum "pan sonic <------> haus arafna"
id wager theres an even smaller number of listeners to those, so i out-hipstered you

Pan sonic throughout most songs uses the traditional drum set. This is Industrial where the noises are the drums... see example Pan Sonic - Lähetys vs a live performance by This Morn Omina Youtube ends in SRNV4bKIYA4 (I still cant post links)
