Dude, you got enough in Live to start.

Also, I understood you have Suite, amirite? I'm sure you can get that super-deep sine wave sub bass in Operator.

Re: what are some good vsts for minimal tech

Yea dude. Minimal tech is live fomuckin forte. You don't need anything else. Just make you listener feel like they are tripping bbaaallzzzzz... For real though. Plenty of resources. It's minimal tech dog. Hell, you don't even need a synth. Go take shit from other songs (doesn't even have to be house, anything!) and destroy it beyond comprehension to create sounds you never imagine then slice them up and put them in simpler and stuff.

Re: what are some good vsts for minimal tech

It's funny you brought this up actually. I am doing a minimal tech tune right now all built up from Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Whether it be down sampling the hell out of something, or turning sounds into blips.

yeh for that super watery 808 kick, Waldorf Attack is absolutely brilliant, I suppose good reverbs are an important element too

Yeah, I have used (the free) Drumatic3 for ages. Goes great with a 303.

Back at ya - check out (free) NutSeq VST if you can find it. I've been googling it, but haven't found a link. Will post here if I find it (or if I UL it later)
Also these.

Re: what are some good vsts for minimal tech

I would think old drum samples from like the tr-33 or the ace tone drum samples would make it sound nice...

mastering with nomad factory's magnetic will make it sound nice overall too/

How would you use these in the production process? For percussion, bass or just ambient soundscapes 'n stuff?
