Bitwig yay or nay

So I've been using my spare time as of late to research specs on different pieces of equipment I may incorporate into my setup. One thing I have been looking into is the Bitwig DAW. From what I have read its absolutely amazing and in one aspect in particular. I like how the software is designed to work alongside a eurorack setup. Now I do have FL Studio and Ableton 9 lite which I could rewire. But I cannot help but find myself looking back and on the awesomness of Bitwig. I guess my question is to current bitwiggys, What was it that convinced you to ditch your previous workstation in favor of this new beast and has it made better your overall experience related to your workflow. Thank you all in advance for your insight.

I think it looks awesome, too. If I wasn't so entrenched in what I have/use already I'd jump right at it at this point.

Who says you have to ditch anything?
Do the eurorack bits you can't do now in Bitwig, the rest as you do now.

I was thinking this to myself earlier. Ditching was kinda unnecessary to throw in there because we are indeed in a day and age where multiple DAWs can be linked together. +1

Re: Bitwig yay or nay

I like Bitwig. I also have thought about purchasing it, but figured that I have a bit too many toys already. Also, I figured that I'd rather use the money that would be spent on Bitwig to buy new instruments for Reason 9.

Nowadays I tend to be less focused on DAW features and more interested in sound-specific gear/software. I can already sequence whatever I want, but I'm interested in acquiring more specialized tonality.

After all, to me at least Bitwig adds very little to Reason 9. It adds some things, but not worth its price. Then again, I find Reason's instruments and REs and all to be much more refined compared to what Bitwig can offer. Since Reason 9 does VSTs, then Bitwig truly adds little to it.

However, if I was purchasing my first or only DAW, then Bitwig could be a good choice.

If you can rewire it into Live, the answer is always yes
