Downgrading live projects

Hello im doing ableton course and in my school it is still ableton 8.
In my home studio i got the 9. I need to bring homework projects but i cant open live 9 files in my school for presenting. Is there a possibility to convert live 9 projects so they can open in live 8?

Re: Downgrading live projects

The only alternative is rendering each separate track down as stems and manually importing them into a Live 8 set.

Not ideal, but I managed similar on a collab project with someone on these forums a couple of years ago.

Not sure at all but perhaps Live 8 can open the separate clips? I thought you could export the clips themselves and import them in other sets?

Re: Downgrading live projects

Imo companies should give you access to previous versions if you've paid for the latest release. I know they don't (not always), just saying it would be nice for situations like this. Perhaps you could send Ableton an email explaining your situation? They might just surprise you.
