Wow my post never went through. Yes when the tracks are done feel free to pm them to me, I will put them up on a new thread and that is where the competition will play out. The deadline is october 1st. Feel free to use nexus, I don't know that synth that well so I can't really spot the obvious sounds. But remember, NO MASSIVE. None. That's the whole idea here. Also, production quality is important, it goes without saying that I'll be paying real close attention to the mix. However, the innovations and the creativity are what makes a winning track. I'll be judging the tracks with a couple friends, both djs, both very into two-step, dubstep, dnb, etc.
Throw down something cool! Super excited to see what everyone's capable of and good luck!
I mean, 130 bpm is acceptable I guess. It'll be a little slow though, but if you've got cool ideas in that range, go for it. Also @shitting rainbows, I'm glad you appreciate the massive ban. To quote rob swire, modern talking is the comic sans of dubstep.
Alright. So I was googling: "Dubstep Competition".
Came across this thread, and registered just to post.
Im heaps interested. Like others said, set up an official thread for it stating rules/reg, and of course that 2nd post for conclusion info.
Gather up the user names of those who posted here and send them a PM with the link to that thread, and also post the link in this thread.
Set a reasonable deadline, say the end of NOV.
AND THOSE INTERESTED NEED TO ACTUALLY LET THIS GUY KNOW UR SERIOUS.
Its a chance to get your name more noticed.
And hey if prizes come in to play, so be it. But dont be greedy and be all "well theres no prizes, fck that noise."
