Re: General EQing Reference

I have my own home studio just like most of you. I, however, am probably not as good as most of you. I prefer raw sound in my own bands recordings. I like mixing and mastering with some vst effects in needed, but I personally do not like my own music to be over produced. I recorded our latest album, but could not track vocals because my equipment was with a friend. I had another guy track my vocals and asked him to simply mix in the vocals as well as he could and send it to me via email due to the fact that I would have left on tour before he had completed it. Once i recieved the finished songs, to my suprise he had resampled everything on the track that could be messed with. Unfortunately, I do not have my orginal tracks and was wanting to re-mix and master these songs in Cubase 5. If anyone is willing to give advice as to what I could possibly do to the finalized tracks, I will explain how to find my band because I don't have 30 posts. Simply go to youtube and search for Stay Strong, Cannonball - Heartache (live music video). The song is the quality that I am working with.

I thank you all that read this for giving me your time.

Re: General EQing Reference

Hi all,

I made a version of the EQ chart that started this thread that is laid out in tables to make it easier to see everything and use as a reference. I didn't put my name on it or attribute it to anyone, so if I need to do so, let me know. I just made this for myself to help me learn it and have an easy reference, so hopefully others here will get some use out of it as well.
