Re: Best BPM for Dubstep ?

I'm stariting with 140. Then it depends on track, sometimes it sounds better with 130 and sometimes around 150. so overall my "sweet spot" is between 130-150

Re: Best BPM for Dubstep ?

I usually use 140 which is the normal dubstep beat but I have tried with different fl projects putting the bpm up to 145..It gives it more pace!

Re: Best BPM for Dubstep ?

140 BPM is probably the most common, though you can go lower or higher depending on what you're looking to achieve musically. I'd recommend staying at or above 100BPM, half timing anything below that may sound a bit too slow - though its entirely up to you.

If you want to pass your track off to DJ's you'll probably want to rock a 140.

Obligatory: :banalama:

Re: Best BPM for Dubstep ?

I think 140 is a good baseline (no pun intended) but 160 is good for more active and more powerful dubstep. I guess it all depends on how you want the track to feel and how you want the listener to feel when they hear your track

I don't think I can find a genre of music where I don't enjoy at least one tune. Even my nemesis country has some stuff I don't mind. Don't tell anyone here I said that though.
