Dude those percussive sounds...crunchy & tasty. I dig how the glitches and sounds work as such a good substitute for a typical melody & progression. Are you doing a lot of work in cyann these days?

Just tried to play it, Stem..and the SC player isn't working. I'll check it again later, dude. ;)

Agreed with scyn whatever you are doing in Cyann keep doing it chief. I'm all over this beat's vibe. Nice panning/use of stereo field as well. That pad way way back just so barely there. Nice. Very nice.

Re: [fawm14] stem's fawms

it gave me this huge old school jrpg feel, and like i said in sc the stereo shit sounds awesome

oh dude, SICK.

love the verby bits that get gated out. awesome texture.

something about this has a Monolake flavor. and that sir, is a complement coming from me.

cyann is standalone so if you have a mac you're good to go. cyann is a sequencer with built in fx
thanks to everyone else for listening

Also enjoyed this. Seems like Cyann is still doing you well. The bleep and grinding sound was cool, where it seemed like most elements dropped out.

Wonder who I can steal a Mac from...

#1: DUB as FUCK! Really like it, out of this world. The contrast of the glitchy lead and super smooth pads that sneak in is eerie. Probably one of my favorite tracks so far.

#2: Excellent beat programming here. Pretty subdued harmonics in the beginning, interesting vocal processing in the background.

Re: [fawm14] stem's fawms

Track 2- Absolutely loved all the elements...especially the ambient breakdown at the end for contrast. Nice work!

Everything Muse just said...excellent work, Stem.. I only wish I had your skills in this genre. Kudos, dude. :)

nice ! different from the sound I started to expect from you. Really loving it.

#2 - glitched out dancehall-ish. really cool stuff here. you still using Cyan??

love the pads that come in. sounds like it could be subterranean guitars... that whole so much verb your guitar becomes a pad thing. I'm SO guilty of that sound. ;)

Re: [fawm14] stem's fawms

2: so idm!!! hell ya. the beat is groovy as fuck, hella rich percussion and really tight glitches. i thought i heard some wierd tempo stuff too, but the pad coming in brings everything together nicely, with the little stuff at the end ringing well. its a good album piece, leading into....

3: glitchhhhhh. its good you keep everything tight glitching late in the chain. the little ambiance you throw in with the saw and bass is excellent, like an 80s zombie flick (day of the dead maybe? lol)

glitching in the sweep is a cool touch too

also keeping the sub kick away from the glitches to keep that release. overall its kinda inspiring
